Elen is an immense world buried in ice. The only truly habitable location is the Kingdom of Elen, an area in the Northern lattitudes about 400 miles in diameter. Dominated by mountains, this area is kept from freezing over by the presence of an immense supervolcano, countless dragons, the attention of Satan, and the grace of God. It is a very traditional medievalish setting, in which the primary villains are demons (servants of Satan), dragons, and undead. It is home to a dualistic religion, with worshipers of both God and Satan coexisting out of necessity and the belief that the others can change. Wherein other settings have power flowing to the gods through the belief and worship of their followers, this setting is very explitly the reverse. The two gods are omnipotent, save for the limits and resistances they impose on each other.
