The Axe of Lawful Retribution is a Lawful Neutral sentient weapon, inhabited by the soul of Anchor, the sworn paladin of Primus. It has an Intelligence score of 15, a Wisdom Score of 8, and a Charisma Score of 24. This corroded, pockmarked blade pushes it's wielder to keep their words and fulfill their vows, both spoken and implicit.
Upon attuning to this artifact, your Wisdom score is reduced by 2, this affect can only be undone via a Wish spell. You do not benefit from any proficiency bonus to Perception checks and Wisdom Saving throws while attuned to this artifact.
Martial Strength:
The Axe of Lawful Retribution has a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls. Strikes made against Dragons deal an additional 3d6 points of damage. This axe does an extra 1d4 lighting damage on a hit.
Anchorshell:
While you wield this artifact, apply +2 to your AC.
Aura of Redemption:
Any creatures you of your choice within 10 feet of you have advantage on Wisdom saving throws.
Spirit of the Redeemed:
As an action, you may raise this axe and beseech the help of the spirit inhabiting it. Anchor will materialize fully rested and wield this axe for 24 hours. 24 hours after this property is used, the axe loses all magical traits except for Martial Strength and Anchor dematerializes.
The Axe of Lawful Retribution has 8 charges. You may expend 1 or more charges to cause one of the following effects. The axe regains 1d6 + 2 charges daily at dawn.
Sentinel's Strength:
While you wield this artifact, if you strike an enemy with an Attack of Opportunity, you may expend one of it's charges to drop the creature's speed to 0 for the rest of the turn.
Warforged Warmth:
As an action, cause one creature you can touch to regain health points equal to 10 times the number of charges you choose to expend.
Summon Steed:
As an action, you may expend a charge and summon a metallic Giant Hyena named Ed to appear and serve as your steed. Ed remains in your service for one hour or until he drops to 0 hit points.
Protective Presence:
As a bonus action, you may expend up to three charges, raising your AC by that number of charges for one minute.
Mark of Vengeance:
As a bonus action you may mark a creature within 30 of you. The creature remains marked for one minute or until it dies. You may have one creature marked at a time. While marked, your attacks against this creature deal an extra 2d8 points of radiant damage.
Recourse from Death:
By expending 5 charges you may cast the spell Raise Dead. This feature cannot be used again for 7 days.
