This ring features an engraving of a scarab beetle on it's face.

While wearing this ring, if you would die or be reduced to 0 hp, roll a d20. If you roll a 10 or above, you are instead reduced to 1 hit points. 

If you roll below the target number, you summon a swarm of insects in your space. These insects go immediately after your turn. They have no loyalties or allegiances. They are beetles.

Every additional time you make this roll in a given day, the target number increases by 2, up to 20.
