Artifact (evolving) Martial weapon (lance), (requires attunement)
Ascalon, the Lance of St. George, is the legendary lance that brought the Dragon Tyralax to heel. It is the most feared weapon by all of dragonkind. Ascalon lies dormant, and can only be awakened by being burnished, then bathed in the blood of a still living dragon. It can only be exalted by good conduct and the destruction of many dragons. Once exalted, Ascalon can only be diminished by being scorned by it's wielder, sullied with sin, or isolated by death.
