Classes: Sorcerer, Warlock, Wizard, Cleric
Casting Time: 8 hours
Range: 20 feet
Components: V, S, M (twenty four sentient, good aligned creatures, each of which is prepared with abjurative glyphs painted and reapplied daily for 7 days, each one with a ruby worth 5000gp in the socket of the left eye, the left hand and eye of the caster, and the ashes of a burned diamond worth at least 1000gp, all of which are consumed)
Duration: Instantaneous
During the casting of this spell, up to six targets must remain within range of the caster and the material components throughout the duration, though they do not need to be conscious. Throughout the casting time, the caster(s) must remove the left hand of each of the material components and copy the abjurative glyphs onto the targets of the spell. At the end of the casting time, the caster(s) must sacrifice their own left hand and eye, burning them in a basin full of the ashes of a burned diamond. After one minute of burning, the fire must be doused with the blood of the sacrifices, causing the soul of each sacrifice to enter the ashes within the basin.Â
These ashes must be used to draw yet more abjurative markings on the 6 targets of the spell, at which time the spell takes effect and the markings become invisible.
Once in effect, this spell can be removed only by the use of a Wish.
Targets of this spell are imbued with the force of a phoenix and are protected from the Whispered One's domain.
Until the next time each target dies, they gain resistance to necrotic damage, the ability to sense undead creatures within 100 feet, and the ability to teleport instantly between areas of darkness within 120 feet of each other as a bonus action.
The next time each of the targets of this spell die, they spring back to life at one hundred hit points (temporary hit points shall be used, if their maximum HP is less than 100), empowered by the force of the phoenix. For the next 10 minutes, they are immune to cold and fire damage, ignore resistance and immunity to fire damage, gain a fly speed of 60 feet, regain 24 hit points at the start of each of their turns and deal additional fire damage equal to their level or CR each time they hit a creature with a melee attack.
The casting of this spell causes the forfeiture of the caster's soul to the lich god Vecna. Once dead, the caster will become a general of Vecna's forces on the shadowfell. The souls of any creatures slain by the targets of the spell while they are effected by the spell are consumed by Vecna.
