The Luapien Ad'ohnea primarily inhabit the northern Aspenlind, the Whimpering Valley, and Wolfman's peak. The name Luapien Ad'ohnea was assigned to them by the Mother's Warden. They are lycanthropes. Some rumors abound that they're descendants of the men of Duskcreek, other's worry that they're ritualized cannibal humans intent on consuming their neighboring tribes. In actuallity, the Luapien Ad'ohnea are made up of several nomadic tribes of lycanthropes, generally in groups no larger than a hundred, these groups often experience mixing with eachother. In the last hundred years, the Luapien Ad'ohnea have had to band together, as they experienced persecution from two fronts. Belserian invaders cutting through their ancestral lands as well as the Mother's Warden's hunting them down have cut back the Luapien Ad'ohnea's vast territory and sequestered it to only the northern sections of the Emberwood. Due to the infringement and destruction of their way of life, the Luapien Ad'ohneans are understandably distrustful of outsiders. Though there are indeed many Luapien Ad'ohneans who were infected with lycanthropy late in their life, the majority of the Luapien Ad'ohneans are descendants of the first lycanthropes, who were mutated as a result of the intense arcane explosion which sealed Tiamat and created many of the Emberwood's unnatural phenomenon.
Gorudo Cronin is by far the biggest among the Luapien Ad'ohneans. An Oni by birth, Gorudo was bitten when she was seperated from her sister and their tribe of giantkin, which had descended from the Smoking Mountains to raid early bands of Belserian soldiers. As the defacto ruler of the Luapien Ad'ohneans, Gorudo exhibits capricious leadership. Her general strategies are that a strong offense is the best defense. As such, she has been known to strategically abandon civilian outposts in order to cause a greater loss to her enemies.
Reshian Tempetu is a young, freshfaced and adventurous archer. An accomplished climber, he rose through the ranks of the Luapien Ad'ohnean archer corps. Claiming over 240 kills with his salvaged Belserian bow, he is heavily hunted by both the Mother's Wardens and the Belserian infantry. Light of foot and ever the exhibitionist, Reshian has been known to prove his proficiency with archery by shooting a single tooth set atop the head of halfling from three hundred yards, to the entertainment of both Leucidians and Luapien Ad'ohneans alike.
Nasiri Ben Caillo is one of the only Luapien Ad'ohnean ambassadors who is accepted by their neighbors in the Emberwood. She has completed several missions of diplomacy, arranging peaceful resolutions to disputes between the Leucidians and the Luapien Ad'ohnea. She has had less success with the Mother's Wardens, though is still welcomed into their camps when she arrives. She has also brokered trade deals with the giantkin tribes of the Smoking Mountains
