The Leucidians primarily inhabit the Shimmering Glen. They protect the mithral within their domain from the outsiders who would abuse it and only extract it through ritualistic religious ceremonies. This sizeable tribe is made up of 12000 humans, elves, halflings, and gnomes. They are led by the Council of the Glittering Falls. The people of the Glen and southern Aspenlind work together in communion with eachother and the visiting Eladrin who periodically wander through their territory to ensure that all have more than enough to sustain themselves and more than enough free time to find fulfillment. When the community needs something, they trade either ritually mined mithral, or Aspenlind lumber, a particularly strong and springy variety of wood vital to the creation of magical items, for what they need. Their main purchasers are the Mother's Wardens, though they also sell to Eladrin traders, Xantion civilians, and Belserian corporations.
The Leucidians rely primarily on the Mother's Wardens for protection, though they also have several Mithral Golems constructed to keep the Luapien Ad'ohnea, Zealothodons, and military forces from entering their territory. Many of the individuals in this Glen have religious druidic training, though the majority content themselves with fishing the Gilded Ponds and carving out their own little life amongst the chaos of the Emberwood.
The Advisor of Infrastructure, Antianon Ben Hallar is also the Chairperson Pro Tempore, having served in his office as councilor for the last 65 years. He is the most wizened of the Council's advisors, and also widely loved as a grandfather figure to the community. It was under his leadership that the tribe developed it's magical waste disposal system, as well as the tribe's newest, most robust health care centers. A widower, he has married himself to his work and his extracurricular trade: fishing. He can often be seen among the Gilded Ponds teaching the local children how to fish or recounting the stories of his youth.
Wosrym Al-Nassir is 41 years old and new to her office. She has spent most of her adult life hunting in the Aspenind and Duskcreek, occasionally providing reconnaissance and assistance to the Mother's Wardens in their defense from Belserians and Luapien Ad'ohnea alike. As the council's Advisor of Defense, her role is simple. Organize and directly lead fighters to keep the borderlands of the tribe clear. Those troops under her command are often trained by her, either directly or by observation, as she personally attends to any major security threats alongside her troops. As such, they often share her enthusiasm and professionalism, oftentimes putting in unpaid overtime to ensure the tribe's security. Her two children both serve as recruits.
Johananiahn Al-Zadir is a career politician, following in their mother's footsteps to join the Council of the Glittering Falls. They joined the council at the age of 24 and have, over the last 41 years of service, become the Chairperson. Though they are the most politically powerful figure in the Emberwood, apart perhaps from the Chieftans of the Mother's Wardens, they have maintained their status as a born and bred Leucidian. In order to make the incorruptible nature of the Council of the Glittering Falls, Johananiahn takes it upon themselves to live in the most neglected housing in the tribe. They have come to trust the guardianship of the Mother's Wardens and have attempted to reach out to work with the Luapien Ad'ohnea, but was met with hostility and contempt. In their time off form leadership, Johananian tends to a little tavern upon the hill overlooking the Glittering Falls and cares for their son.
A Zealthanon recovered before her branding, Acadiadoni Ben Zalash is particularly secular in philosophy. She believes that the risks of considering religion in decision making run to great to allow. Her role is the Council's advisor on Equity. She cares less for the traditions of the past or relations with neighboring tribes as she cares for the welfare of her constituents. Ensuring that no man works an undue deviation more than his neighbor, unless he decides to. Her's is an economic position constantly under threat of hatred from both those who work more than they wish and from those who oppose the economic system she implimented 50 years ago.
Zepherion Ben Alosh is the Council's advisor on Tradition. As the eldest, at 200 years old, he grew up in the Emberwood before the invasion of Belseria. He recalls the traditions of the giants, as well as the rituals of the men of Duskcreek. His is the role of cooling saucer to the council, tempering the enthusiasms of his younger peers and speaking up when the traditions of those native to this land are being forgotten.
Zoratrio Za'Ripvollen innovated the process by which both Whitestone and Mithral are purified and distilled, allowing for the industrialization of both resources in the production of magical weapons. This innovation, made 341 years ago, made Za'Ripvollen unbelievably and incredibly wealthy. Much of his wealth is used by his descendant family, the Za'Ripley's in the production and expansion of Warforged Enterprises, the manufacturing company for Belseria's soldiery. Shortly after his innovation, he sold the patent to his family and came to the Shimmering Glen and began his work to create immortality where before there was none. He claims he never succeeded. He is now 378 years old.
